So, I was going to be all professional and keep this quiet until I had a signed contract and a name to share. But then my entry had to be redacted from the Secret Agent contest I mentioned in the other post, and some people from that blog and AW figured it out on account of that, and I wasn’t being particularly subtle on Twitter, so I figured — to heck with it.
(I wouldn’t have been able to last more than a day, anyway. Trust.)
I got an agent offer last night.
YEAH. I know, right? I KNOW. That took less than a week of querying. (Well, I sent one query out back in December, but… that doesn’t count?)
It didn’t really hit me until twelve hours later. But now, I’m giddy. And terrified. (But mostly giddy.) It’s superbly bizarre to think this is really happening.
So I’m going through that standard week-or-two of giving other agents the heads-up; the moment I know more, I’ll share names. In the meantime, I’m going to be a liiiiiittle distracted.
But something tells me y’all will understand that.
